Nacho Coll, Ciutadella (Islas Baleares), 5 de septiembre de 1987. Pertenece y entrena en el Real Club Tenis Barcelona. Hace dos años el periódico Iris le hizo esta entrevista con motivo de las fechas navideñas. El otro día, mientras ordenaba unos papeles encontré la entrevista y pensé que sería bonito compartirla con todos vosotros. ¿Qué estación del año te gusta más? Verano.
¿El día más feliz de tu vida? Está por llegar.
¿Y el día más triste? Cuando operaron a mis abuelos del corazón.... se pasa muy mal sabiendo que los puedes perder.
El mayor error de tu carrera deportiva es... haberme dado cuenta de las cosas más importantes un poco tarde.
El mayor acierto ha sido.... no haber tirado la toalla.
¿Un refrán? Si las gaviotas siguen al pesquero es que hay sardinas.
¿Una manía? No dejar nada en el plato cuando como. Lo limpio al máximo.
¿Un vicio? La Play Station.
¿Una debilidad? El chocolate.
El 24 de diciembre, ¿carne o pescado? Pescado.
¿Polvorones o mantecados? Polvorones.
¿Un defecto? Soy demasiado cabezota.
¿Una película? Gladiator y Braveheart
¿Una canción? ‹‹Self Esteem››
¿Una bebida? Coca Cola
¿Has tenido algún apodo deportivo? Me dicen ‹‹Topo››, como el animal.
¿Qué personas son las que te sacan de quicio? Las personas que se creen que están por encima de las demás. Y los terroristas.
¿Lo primero que piensas cuando te despiertas? Que sea un buen día y que vuelva a la cama contento.
¿Montaña o playa? Playa.
¿Tu número preferido? El número 7
¿Un tema de conversación preferido? Futbol.
Lo que menos te gusta es... las matemáticas.
¿Un restaurante que te guste mucho? Cualquiera que pueda disfrutar en compañía de la familia y de los amigos.
¿Hay algo que dirías a alguien y no te atreves? No.
¿Eres supersticioso? No.
Tu animal preferido es... el jaguar y el caballo.
¿Tímido o extrovertido? Extrovertido.
¿Cuál fue tu último regalo? Un reloj.
¿Qué le regalarías a una mujer? Un viaje.
¿Conformista o inconformista? Inconformista.
¿Qué lugar del mundo te gustaría visitar? Nueva York.
¿Además del tenis, qué otro deporte también te gusta? Futbol, surf, padel, rugby, básquet, ciclismo, casi todos.
¿Eres bueno en la cocina? Sí, bastante.
¿Una anécdota de vestuario? Siempre preparo las raquetas en el vestuario antes de los partidos, como ritual.
¿Quién es el jugador más divertido que has conocido? Agustín Boje, un compañero andaluz y se las sabe todas.
¿Qué es lo más difícil que has visto en un terreno de juego? Los passings de Rafael Nadal.
¿El punto más trascendental que has conseguido? Un passing de revés en la final del Future de México.
¿Y el más bonito? Uno que hice de volea de revés en una final de un Campeonato de España.
¿Qué rival te ha hecho la vida imposible? Ninguno en especial.
¿Qué recuerdos son los más significativos de tu carrera deportiva? El de los campeonatos de España, una medalla de un Europeo y el de los Futures que he ganado.
El mejor jugador en activo es... Rafael Nadal.
Y de la Historia... Roger Federer.
¿Qué les dirías a los chicos/as que empiezan ahora? Que lo que hagan lo hagan con mucha ilusión.
¿Un deseo por el año nuevo? Felicidad para todos.

Last week, while organising some papers I found the interview and I thought it would be nice to share the information with all of you.
Which season do you prefer? Summer.
Which is the happiest day of your life? Is coming.
And the saddest one? When my grandparents had a heart operation.... I had a very bad experience because I knew I could lose them.
The biggest mistake of your career is... that I have understood the most important things a bit late.
The greatest success has been.... not to give up.
A proverb? “If the seagulls follow the boat there must be sardines”.
An obsession? I do not leave anything on the plate when I eat. I clean it as much as possible.
A vice? The Play Station.
Any weakness? Chocolate.
On 24th December, meat or fish? Fish.
Polvorones or mantecados? Polvorones. (typical Spanish sweets at Christmas)
A flaw? I am too stubborn.
A film? Gladiator and Braveheart.
A song? "Self Esteem"
A beverage? Coca Cola
Do you have a sports nickname? They call me "Topo" (mole in Spanish).
What are those who irritate you? People who think they are above the rest. And terrorists as well.
What is the first thing you think when you wake up? That is going to be good day and I hope I can come back to bed happy.

A favourite topic in a conversation? Football.
The least favourite is ... Maths
A restaurant you really like? Anyone where I can enjoy the company of family and friends.
Is there anything you do not dare to tell to someone? No.
Are you superstitious? No.
Your favourite animal is ... the jaguar and the horse.
Shy or outgoing? Outgoing.
What was your last gift you have received? A watch.
What would you buy to a woman? A trip.
Conformist or nonconformist? Nonconformist.
Which place would you like to visit? New York.
Besides tennis, what other sport do you like? Football, surfing, paddle, rugby, basketball, cycling, nearly every sport.
Are you good at cooking? Yes, of course.
A story about a custom? I always prepare the racquets in the locker room before games, and I do this as a ritual.
Who is the funniest player you've ever met? Agustín Boje, an Andalusian fellow. He knows all the tricks.
What is the most difficult shot you've seen in a tennis court? Rafael Nadal's passing shots.
What is the most important point you've won? A backhand passing shot in the final of the Future of Mexico.
And the most beautiful one? When I made a backhand volley in the Spain Championships.
Have you ever felt miserable when playing against any opponent? I don’t think so.
What are the most significant memories of your career? The championships of Spain, a European medal and the Futures I have won
The best player at the moment is ... Rafael Nadal.
And in History... Roger Federer.
What would you say to the boys and girls who are starting now? Do what you do with great enthusiasm. Do what you do with great enthusiasm.
